Since our move to the new gym all our classes have been busy.  Everyone has also commented on how much better the new gym is too which bodes well for the future.

Our fight team have a busy end to the year which began with Kris’s trip to Martinique for his World Title challenge.  We flew out early on Thursday morning meeting our French colleagues in Paris and then flying on to Martinique.  Weigh in was on Friday and the match on Saturday.  On arrival at the venue we found there was no air conditioning and it was 30 degrees in the hall!

The fight itself was nip and tuck all the way with the decision by no means certain at the end of the five rounds.  Remy Vectol got the nod but Kris was very pleased with his performance leaving nothing in the dressing room!  Remy is sponsored by Yokkao and a Thai gym. He is a full time athlete and had been in Thailand for 3 weeks preparing for this match.  This underlines Kris’s achievement to have reached this level of competition.  Well done Kris!

Craig Skelton was due to fight MMA at the end of November in his first fight as part of the team, but unfortunately his opponent has had to pull out.  Next up will be Harry who is matched in a 63kg four man tournament in London.  The line-up is Harry, Myk Estlick, Femi Akinade, and Paul Barber.  Hopefully Duncan will be on the same show for his long awaited comeback to the ring!

Sarah fights on December 7th in Leamington Spa.  She will be competing against Lisa Brierley.  Anyone wanting tickets should contact Sarah or Pierre asap.
