Kao Loi Thai Boxing

John Jarvis of Lumpini Muay Thai in Crawley matched our own Kris Addis with Adam Willoughby from AKA Gym in London.  Adam came to the ring with a 14 fight record with 11 wins, a very tough test for Kris.

The fight began well with Kris applying early pressure, and showing that he was the more powerful of the two combatants. Towards the end of the round Kris cut Adam with an elbow.

The second round followed much the same script, with Adam trying to get on the front foot but finding Kris's strength too much.

In the third Adam tried to start moving around and attacking from different angles, with some success.  In the first half of the round Kris struggled to adapt to this change of strategy.  However towards the end of the round he grabbed Adam and landed some massive knees.

In the fourth Kris landed an enormous left body shot which dropped Adam for an eight count.  He did well to shake it off and tried to fight on in the 5th, but found himself outgunned.  The referee stepped in to save Adam from further punishment.

A great win for Kris.
