Josh and Duncan compete in Oldham
Josh Buckle makes debut, and Duncan Scott competes for 3rd time at Siam Show in Oldham.
Grandmaster Kevin lloyd and his team put together a good fightcard on September 27th. The show featured Duncan and Josh from Kao Loi.
Both fighters competed well but lost narrow points decisions.
Duncan had been suffering from a cold and, not wanting to pull out, fought anyway against an opponent who was 5kg heavier!!! His opponent tried to use this advantage but found himself equally matched in the clinch. It was on the outside that the effect of the difference in weight was seen. Strong teeps stopped Duncan's efforts to close range. Strong punches did not hurt Duncan but moved him enough to make replying difficult.
Well Done to Duncan's opponent from Knuckles and well done to Duncan for showing good heart to compete whilst under the weather!
Josh Buckle's opponent was 19 years while Josh is 16.5 years. The fight weight was even at 68kg but Joel (way of life) was clearly fully grown, while Josh's body is still growing. Never the less he put up an excellent show and dominated the second round. However the result was a points loss, so well done to Joel. A great start for Josh who i'm sure will have many wins in the future.
