Interclub and Kris result
Siam Camp Interclub features great performances from Doroteo, Darren, Guy, and Ryan, but Kris loses at Rumble at the Reebok.
We travelled over to Oldham for an interclub on Saturday morning prior to moving to the Reebok Stadium to support Kris in his UKMF Title Defence.
First up at the interclub was Pocket Rocket Ryan who faced a taller opponent. The bout started quite quickly and the taller fighter was sending his techniques with more force than Ryan. Ryan settled in and started to press forward. In the second and third he pushed closer and was more successful with his punches and kicks. A good spar for Ryan.
Second was Guy who quickly settled in and controlled the bout from start to finish. He kept his opponent at bay with well timed teeps, and scored with punch, kick, and knee.
Doroteo then stepped in with the goal of sending more combinations and moving into the clinch. He did both of these things against a very strong opponent who sent his techniques with a lot of force. Doroteo did not let this faze him and stuck to his game plan throughout.
Finally Darren, in his first interclub, began his interclub with the goal of keeping his shape both in attack and defence. He achieved his goal and scored well with some good body kicks.
After the interclub we drove over to the Reebok and awaited Kris's title defence against Daitan Jackson. The show proved to be a fantastic spectacle for the crowd with some excellent matchups. However, the evening did not go well for Kris who lost on points. It was obvious from the start that Daitan had not come to have a tear up with Kris. He stood off and used Kick and Kick punch to keep Kris at bay, and didnt try to compete when in the clinch tying up Kris and not allowing him to work. He stuck to the game plan throughout and took the title with a clear points victory.
