Kao Loi Thai Boxing

The weigh in on Friday went well with both fighters making weight, as did their opponents, and so the stage was set for a good Saturday of Muay Thai.

Both fights were 5 rounds with no knees to the head.  Chanelle was on first against an opponent who was hyperactive to say the least!  The fight started explosively with punch kick combinations from both girls followed by a clinch.  Then the dutch girl attacked with punches and then sent a kick across the midsection of Chanelle which hit the target flush.  Chanelle immediately took the floor and said after that the shock went across the body and sent a pain down her arm, and made it impossible to continue.  An unfortunate end to an excellent training camp.  She is ok now and impatient to fight again in the new year.

Kris's fight began with the dutch fighter using quick combinations.  None of them bothered Kris and he blocked them and began to move forward to pressure his opponent.  Round 2 saw Kris step up this pressure and some of his attacks started to put the dutch on the back foot.  Round 3 heralded the start of Kris's clinch work and saw the first signs of weakness in his foe. The clichwork was the key to the fight and with rounds 4 and 5 were dominated by Kris as he won a majority points decision to move his record to 9 fights 8 wins.
