First A-Class win for Kris

First A-Class win for Kris

Kris puts in best performance to date!

Steve Logan's show in Birmingham saw Kris taking on local K-Star favorite Pete Adams.

Pete had a record of 13 fights 11 wins and had fought at A-Class level before, so Pete had the advantage in experience.  However Kris's preparation had gone very well with power and skill levels at an all time high.

20 Kao Loi members travelled down to support Kris and we were not disappointed.

The fight began, as good level fights do, with a testing and feeling out process.  They soon started sending strong kicks with intent, Kris usually defending and finishing the exchanges strongly.

Into the second and Kris's jab started to work very well, snapping back Pete's head when it landed.  Early in the round the fighters moved into the clinch and just on the break Kris landed an elbow strike which cut Pete under the left eye.  The cut was not severe enough to end the fight and the round continued.  Kicks and clinch were then employed by both fighters although Kris seemed to control most of the action.

The third began and within a minute the fight was over.  Kris had forced Pete to parry his jab and then stepped in after the jab with a left elbow which opened a cut above the right eye.  This was a bad cut and after an inspection Pete was pulled out.

An excellent performance from Kris which impressed everyone who saw it.

Pete bought Kris a drink immediately after the fight..a fantastic gesture from an excellent sportsman.
