Kao Loi Thai Boxing

Richard Smith was the promoter of the Leeds Show at Oceana nightclub.  Duncan was matched with Jordan from Master A's in Manchester, and Josh was matched with Ashley Twist from Bad Company in Leeds.

Duncan was up first and the fight was scheduled for 3 rounds.  Duncan began the fight in typical positive fashion, bringing steady pressure on his opponent.  His blocking was very strong which allowed him to reply well to all of Jordan's attacks.  Duncan's kicks and punches were very strong and well directed and he dictated all the exchanges.

Duncan caught Jordan with a couple of good punches but it was to be the clinch which took the fight from Jordan.  Heavy knees landed and although Duncan was winning with punch and kick, the knees sealed a near perfect victory.

Josh's fight was an exciting affair from the first bell to the last.  Ashley started well and managed to get the advantage with some well timed punch and kick combinations.  The right roundhouse kick landed throughout the first and second rounds and this gave Ashley the lead.

Into the third and the momentum started to shift with Ashley tiring and Josh gaining the positional advantage outside the left foot of the orthodox fighter.  

Josh continued to fight at a higher pace and landed an increasing amount of punches, kicks, and knees in the third and fourth.  By the fifth this pressure had told on Ashley and Josh took the last round and with it the decision.

An excellent contest between two good prospects.
