Kao Loi

Kao Loi, meaning “Flying Knee”, was started by head instructor Pierre Mahon in 1997. The first classes and private lessons were held at the ABC Gym at Crimple Valley, Harrogate. In 1998 classes began at the Barbican Centre in York. Private lessons in Leeds started shortly afterwards at the gym of Pierre’s friend, teacher and training partner, Richard Smith.

Since these early days the club has gone from strength to strength, due partly to our teaching philosophy. Our goal has always been to help anyone who wishes to train in Muay Thai to achieve their aims. We recognise that aims vary from marginal weight loss to World Championship honours, and that to the individual both aims are equally as important.

We run group sessions in Harrogate and York.  We also offer Private lessons with our instructors in Harrogate, and Leeds.
